My Havana Silk Dog’s preliminary OFA hip results had been “unilateral mild dysplastic.” At 2 years of age, with X-rays taken at Troy Animal Hospital, my dog subsequently received a “GOOD” Hip evaluation from OFA.

Dr Lonnie was kind, gentle and patient with my dog (and with me). He gave me a clear and concise education about the procedure and positioning of the dog for the X-rays. Additionally, I was so pleased that no anesthesia was required.

Dr. Davis is passionate about the necessity of positive positioning and such an enthusiastic teacher he is a pleasure to work with. Although his practice is over three hours from my home, I took Cheeky, my Havana Silk Dog to him last year after hearing glowing recommendations from a friend. He was very gentle with her, spent time relaxing her before he started, explained what we were looking for in the positioning and I learned the difference between a good X-ray and a bad one. Amazing! Her hips came back “good” from OFA. I’ll be heading down to see him again in November as my youngest Leonberger turns two. It is a trip well worth taking and I highly recommend him.
